Crafting a Better Experience

Brewers at 4001 Yancey is now open for limited indoor and outdoor dining.

With nearly 25 years in the craft beer and cider businesses, we have seen a lot of challenges, but nothing like we’ve faced over the last few months. Like you, we are looking forward to reopening our doors, and feeling the buzz of excitement rushing through our taproom on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

As excited as we are to reopen, COVID-19 has reminded us that providing a SAFE environment for all of our guests and staff is ALWAYS our top priority. While this has always been our focus here at Brewers at 4001 Yancey, this pandemic has required us to raise our demanding standards to an even higher level. Therefore, for our reopening, we are implementing a multi-layered safety approach designed to meet and, in some cases, exceed what is being recommended by our state government, the CDC and other health authorities. And, we listened to you, our guests, for guidance. We fielded a survey asking you what you wanted and needed in order to feel safe when you come back to visit us. The over 7,000 responses that we received greatly influenced our reopening plan. So, thank you.

When you join us for a pint and bite, this what you can expect to see when you enter our facilities:

Clean Air

Installed new bi-polar ionization units in our HVAC ductwork. These units generate clean the air by reducing airborne particles and neutralizing pathogens so you can rest assured the air in here is clean, safe and healthy.

Southern Tier, Sixpoint, Victory Brewing Company and Bold Rock Cidery have joined forces, combining years of experience to bring you the latest and greatest the craft beer industry has to offer and welcome you to the Brewers at 4001 Yancey. Victory Brewing has been putting fun twists on traditional styles since 1996, making a line-up of beers that are as fun to drink as they are to brew. Southern Tier has been perfecting recipes since 2002 so you can grab a beer, grab some friends and keep enjoying amazing flavor again and again. Sixpoint has used its unique blend of creativity and science to brew beers with explosive aromatics and vivid flavors out of an 800 square-foot facility in Brooklyn, New York since 2004. Bold Rock Hard Cider has been crushing the cider competition since 2012 by providing award winning beverages crafted from fresh, locally sourced apples from Virginia and North Carolina.

Brewers at 4001 Yancey is built in the historic Bower’s Mill building which was home to Bowers Fibers, a textile company in operation since 1946. But that’s not the only piece of history about the new space. The fermentation tanks are the original tanks used when Victory opened its doors in 1996. A chiller, DE filter and other equipment made their way down from Southern Tier in Lakewood, NY so Charlotte is truly bringing our breweries together.

We’re located in the South End of Charlotte in what we’d like to consider “The Craft District” and are excited to be part of a neighborhood of such pioneers. Visit the Brewers at 4001 Yancey, let’s share a beer together (or 2 or 3) and join us as we work to keep driving all that is great about craft beer.

That’s where the brewery in Charlotte comes in. Meet the
Brewers at 4001 Yancey- a group of like-minded brewers in the Queen City who are excited to bring you some of the highest quality, most innovative beers you can drink.
